Description
Disassembled automotive parts on display in The Art Gallery as part of the Auto/Body exhibit. A light blue spot on the floor reads: “In Seattle, it was body by Starbucks. I worked there while in school and when pastries would go out of date I took great pleasure in eating them.” A white spot on the floor reads: “When I needed to cheer myself up or rest, I found a lot of peace at the place called Teahouse Kwan Yin. The act of slowing down and drinking perfectly brewed cup of tea curated by the owner was a calming and flavorful experience. I made it a habit of going there weekly with my friend David. We always had such great talks over tea. For a city so stained in coffee tea was a nice change. And tea is settling, while coffee is energizing. The owner used to be so stingy with cream. She didn’t like to see it wasted.”
