Two one-act plays by Dallas playwright Bruce R. Coleman. Both plays were originally produced by Uptown Players in Dallas, with BOOMER being the winner of the Inaugural Price Write play writing festival and audience favorite.
“Asher Texas ‘82” is a new one-act drama where four teens from a small Texas town, confronted by a violent act of bullying, must choose to stay as they are, or change forever. “Boomer Tyro is Coming Home” is the story of a movie star of the 1950s who comes home to Galveston and has to decide whether to be honest about being gay, which could be career suicide, or to pretend to be straight.
