The collection was an immersive and interactive installation featuring a variety of sound boxes made by local artists and musicians. Visitors were encouraged to explore the possibilities of each box as they created and experienced the resulting truly unique sonic environment.

Composer and installation designer, Christopher Morgan, provided an Artist Talk on November 9, providing context and a brief history of making sound boxes followed by an overview of the different elements of the installation. These elements include box construction, electronics, and computer programming for lights and sound. The talk concluded with a discussion of some current aesthetics of sound art and interactivity.
