Based on true events, Radium Girls follows factory workers who paint fashionable watch dials with glow-in-the-dark radium, part of the fad of radioactive products available at the time, unaware of the long-term effects of exposure. While scientists, corporate executives, and social activists become aware of the truth, the women struggle for their lives and for justice.
Radium Girls was staged at the John Anthony Theatre on the Plano Campus from February 22-25, 2023. It was directed by Professor Robin Armstrong with a script by D.W. Gregory.
