Sue Olivier Collection

Sue Willard Olivier (1932-2006) was a founding board member for Collin County Community College District (CCCCD). By co-chairing a petition drive which successfully put the college on the ballot in 1985, she played an instrumental role in establishing the district. Prior to being elected to the CCCCD board, Olivier served as a trustee in the Plano Independent School District and as an instructor at Richland College. Olivier earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree from University of Nebraska.

Olivier was born in Dallas, Texas on December 18, 1932; married Roy Olivier in 1956 and died as the result of a heart attack on June 4, 2006. Olivier was survived by her husband; a daughter, Stephanie Olivier; and two sons, Roy Willard Olivier and Robert Nicholas Olivier.
