Director's Note: Much Ado About Nothing is an appropriate play for our time when "we, the people" must fact check our news before we commit seemingly irreversible actions. In our production, the Camp Messina Performing Arts Center rehearses this Shakespearean classic with families on base, as well as service personnel returning from overseas deployment. Old romances are rekindled and new loves blossom only to be broken by actions based on deception, not fact. Shakespeare reaches across time to remind us all that if something appears too good or too bad to be true - it probably is. Check your facts before you make "MUCH ADO" About Nothing. - Deborah Ruiz-Esparza
Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare and directed by Deborah Ruiz-Esparza, was staged at the Black Box Theatre June 27-30, 2019.
