2026 Mediated Landscapes

This is a solo painting exhibit featuring works created by Collin professor, Jennifer Seibert. This exhibit was on display from January 5 - 29, 2026. From the exhibit poster: "Why This Matters: N. Katherine Hayles argues that contemporary media environments increasingly "manage" attention through algorithmic curation, training us toward distraction rather than focus. This project investigates whether sustained painting practice can function as a form of resistance--building, what researchers call the capacity to consciously control where and how we focus."
