The Collin College Visual Arts Program offers foundational art courses such as Drawing I, 2D Design, Art History I and II and Art Appreciation as well as specialized courses in the traditional studio disciplines of Painting, Watercolor, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, and Jewelry/Art Metals. The 33,000 square-foot Visual Arts Center at the Spring Creek Campus houses several state of the art studio labs as well as THE ARTS gallery, which provides a viewing and exhibition space for students, faculty and the community. In addition, Collin College offers a wide range of art classes in well-equipped studio labs located at the Preston Ridge Campus in Frisco and the Central Park Campus in McKinney. All studio labs include professional quality equipment such as intaglio printing presses, a variety of ceramic kilns, electric pottery wheels, and metal casting, smithing and fabrication equipment.

The Visual Arts Department offers our students many valuable opportunities, including participation in juried and non-juried art exhibits, panel discussions on selected art topics, artists' talks and demonstrations, and portfolio reviews conducted by representatives of various U.S. universities. This considerable exposure to professional practices in the visual arts helps students prepare to function as tomorrow’s visual artists.
